Reduced tram, train and bus services will be maintained to enable key workers to make essential journeys, but services will be stepped down from Sunday 22 March.
Revised tram, train and bus timetable are being published now, and people that have to make essential journeys are asked to visit TfGM or operators' websites for the latest information.
On Metrolink the changes will reflect a Sunday service, operating on a 12-minute frequency across all lines, with more doubles in operation across the network to enable social distancing.
Weekday trams will start running at 6am and end at 11pm. On Sundays, trams will start running at 7am.
Metrolink will also be removing the early morning Airport service which currently operates a 20-minute frequency, due to the severe travel restrictions and changes at Manchester Airport.
These service changes will help network resilience and by moving more drivers to a core shift pattern.
The new Trafford Park tram line will launch as planned on Sunday to help people who have to make essential journeys.
Peak time restrictions on concessionary tram, rail and bus passes have been lifted during the early morning rush hour to make it easier for the region’s older and disabled people to get their shopping or to attend a medical appointment.
Metrolink passengers with 28 day and annual travelcards are being offered refunds on the number of days left remaining on their tickets, as long as there is a minimum of 7 days remaining.

Travelshops across Greater Manchester remain open, but are operating for reduced hours, while further changes to services and opening hours are likely to come into effect in the coming weeks.
